Meet at St. Michael’s
parking
lot on Saturday,
March 1st at 8:30 AM.
We will leave about
8:45.
Current Destination:
Mueller
State Park; about an hour’s drive.
(We will only cancel in case of severe weather.
Destination may change based on conditions.
If in doubt check the youth website
before coming to church.)
What to bring:
Clothing: everyone
needs to have some sort of daypack to carry clothing, snacks and water
(at least 1.5 liters each) - in addition to water for the cars. Best to dress
in layers with a
windproof outer layer. Avoid pretty heavy clothing. People will likely need to
shed clothes
while snowshoeing and to add clothes when standing around. Be sure to have
boots that are
at least water-resistant, wool or similar socks, good gloves (mittens if really
cold), and a
warm hat (should have brim for face shade). Also sunscreen and chapstick.
For sure, ski or hiking poles are needed. Also if you haven’t submitted a
medical release form
yet this year, please fill out and bring one of those. Click here for
release form!
